Seamless integration of CHEMCAD simulation data |

Comos Industry Solutions GmbH has further expanded its range of interfaces for Comos FEED (Front End Engineering & Design). Besides simulation data from AspenPlus®, HYSYS®, PRO/II®, UniSim® Design and Ebsilon®Professional, CHEMCAD data can now be read into Comos. As of immediately, users of this simulation program, too, can thus employ Comos for more efficient and cost-effective plant engineering. Schwelm/Germany – Comos Industry Solutions GmbH, the software provider for integrated Life Cycle Engineering, has developed a new interface for its engineering product Comos FEED (Front End Engineering & Design). The interface enables data from the CHEMCAD simulation program to be read in and further processed. This results in time and cost savings for engineers and plant designers, since data transfer from the simulation software into data sheets, lists and process flow diagrams (PFDs) is fully automatic. Comos FEED – six interfaces at a time Even today, Comos FEED offers the option of integrating simulation data from the programs AspenPlus® and HYSYS® of Aspen Technology Inc. as well as from PRO/II® of Invensys SimSci-Esscor and UniSim® Design of Honeywell International Inc. With the introduction of Comos 9.0, the interfaces for CHEMCAD of the US vendor Chemstations Inc. and Ebsilon®Professional of Evonik Energy Services GmbH are available as of immediately. Higher cost-effectiveness through fewer work steps Up-to-date and consistent data at all times In addition to the interfaces, further functions of Comos FEED can be utilised to manage and optimise the data read in. Planning data, for example, are automatically supplied for the generation of block and process flow diagrams. Moreover, multiple run cases and project variants can be created and matched, serving as a basis for 3D layout planning and concept proposals. The end-to-end data integrity of the program means that Comos offers each person involved in a project current and consistent data at all times. The benefits of the Comos FEED interfaces have long been appreciated by users in different businesses. The new CHEMCAD interface is especially attractive for planners in the chemical, pharmaceutical and power industries, since the capabilities for seamless integration of simulation programs can be used to the full there.
