The Comos Logical module makes possible the graphic creation and planning of function and workflow diagrams in compliance with DIN EN 61131-3, VGB R170C or Sama. These planning documents have intentionally been kept machine- and process technology-readable. They serve for the graphic visualization of the interlocks and sequence controllers of the unit or plant. The documents also form the link between engineering and control as a result of working in collaboration with leading automation and control system vendors.
The Comos Logical module supports both plant planners and owners in this work and reduces the time and costs required for the entire engineering through signals that have been standardized inn the basic planning and optimally managed by the functional diagram.
The connection to the control system welt view means that we have succeeded in taking a major step towards implementing a uniform Life Cycle Asset Information Management System throughout.
Key Benefits - As a result of standardized signals the planner can work with his or her function modules on the basis of the various standards contained in the system, such as VGB R 170 C or IEC 61131/3, or else on the basis of his or her own libraries that can be created very easily.
- Both the hardware signals that can be defined at the functions, devices and superordinated controllers as well as all the software signals in the functional diagram are administered internally within the data model.
- Cross-references and links are generated automatically and the various types of signals are recognized. These can also be output later in the form of signal lists, for example.
- The user is supported by the autorouting and autoconnecting functions in the Functional Diagram module
- The object-oriented technology of Comos® allows direct coupling to the corresponding control systems here as well.
