In recent years it has been found time and time again that the cost of maintenance for pipe parts and the creation of pipe classes are very high and out of all proportion. Comos PipeSpec Manager tackles precisely this very problem and makes a vital contribution to optimizing and simplifying the associated data maintenance.

When this new object-oriented solution was created, a strong emphasis was placed on rapid implementation, the ability to make use of legacy data, and integration into other tools. This does away with the tedious, error-prone and cost-intensive transfer of pipe class data by hand.

The Comos PipeSpec Manager module is made up of the pipe classes manager and pipe part administration. The basis for the implementation of these new areas are around 450 international standards from the DIN, EN and ANSI/ASME area. The Comos object-oriented way of thinking massively simplifies the task of maintenance of the data administration.

A further aspect is the wide variety of interfaces within pipe management.
